Sicily Terra Mediterranea, 2012 edition – Contributions
Enhance the elements of identity and improve its image on foreign markets. This is essentially the leitmotif of the Sicilia Terra Mediterranea Award which enjoys great success and great results every year. This means facilitating the relations of the Sicilian wine system with the world of international general and sector information. But not only that, aiming to communicate Sicilian wine
and its long supply chain including catering and all the actors who, in various capacities, contribute to the valorisation of local products and the food and wine culture of Sicily, as protagonists of a lifestyle in harmony with the environment and well-being of the individual, where the Mediterranean diet constitutes the expression universally recognized as an intangible heritage of humanity. For this edition, journalists and writers of any nationality who have disseminated the topic between 1 December 2011 and 1 December 2012 are eligible for the Award. The works must refer to the territory of the vine, wine and Sicilian olive oil and the naturalistic and historical-cultural heritage of Sicily.
