Tenuta Scilio di Valle Galfina is located on the north-eastern side of Etna, within the Etna DOC area, where the cultivation of vines has been handed down for centuries. In these territories, the favorable peculiarities of the volcanic soils, the fresh mildness of the climate and the continuous industriousness of man have been united for centuries in an inseparable union, which allows for the creation of high quality productions. The Scilio di Valle Galfina estate was born and develops its business in the wake of this tradition. The wines of Tenuta Scilio are obtained exclusively from the grapes grown on its own company and directly vinified in the ancient farmhouse dating back to 1815. Here, these wines are subjected to a delicate refinement phase to achieve the best degree of harmony and balance of their constituents. The result of so much patience and perseverance are the typical notes of Etna viticulture, the aromas of Carricante and Catarratto in the whites, the velvety elegance of the Nerello Mascalese, in the reds and rosés. The bottles of these wines contain not only the fruit of a year of hard and intense work, but the result of a long and risky partnership between man and the volcano that has continued for some time, from generation to generation.
