Segesta-Calatafimi Theatre, 10 August 2019

On the occasion of the 2019 “Dionisiache” program currently being held at the Segesta-Calatafimi Theatre, on the evening of 10 August, the night of “San Lorenzo”, in concert with the Municipality of Calatafimi Segesta, Gal Elimos and the Director of the Park Archaeologist Dr. Rossella Giglio, the IRVO will organize a tasting of wines, oils and typical products on the Temple Hill.

Furthermore, Vincenzo Cusumano, general director of IRVO, will pay homage, on the stage of the Segesta Theatre, to Violette Impellizzeri, one of the most important researchers in the world on cosmology and black holes, a historic bottle created by IRVO with the consultancy of Prof Tachis world-renowned winemaker, coming from the vineyard of the Grillo cultivar, the only cultivation on the island of Mothia.

At the awards ceremony we will toast to the stars of the night of San Lorenzo with the experimental wines of IRVO and with those kindly offered by the Orestiade di Gibellina company accompanied with bread and oil from the award-winning Oleifici Barbera company.

The initiative is part of the concerted actions, promoted by the IRVO, among the actors who institutionally operate in that territory in order to promote the association between the archaeological elements and the highly valuable agricultural activities that distinguish many Sicilian territories with a high vocation wine and olive oil production.
