ProWein 2015, 5 Sicilian wineries awarded

The Sicilian stage at ProWein, one of the most important and qualified international wine fairs, ended in style. In fact, five Sicilian companies have received the renowned "Mundus Vini" recognition. “Great satisfaction for us too – comments the extraordinary commissioner of IRVO, Antonino Di Giacomo Pepe – it is a Sicily of wine that is growing and moving forward”.

CVA Canicatti, Baglio del Cristo di Campobello, Pellegrino, Abbazia Sant'Anastasia and Caruso & Minini are the wineries that have been awarded. The Agriculture Councilor Nino Caleca was also satisfied and, once he heard the news, commented: “The awards given by Mundus Vini demonstrate the value of the choices of those who decide on quality and certification. Choices that were rewarded today. And choices – he adds – towards which more and more people are moving. For us in the regional department it means making it a business card."

Twenty-nine Sicilian wineries participated in the fair which every year brings together industry experts, technicians and buyers from all over the world. Both the German fair, which takes place in Dusseldorf, and the Mundus Vini wine competition aim to enhance the quality and marketing of wines.
