ITALIAN WINE EXPERIENCE project – CHINA Canton 29 November – 1 December 2012 “Il Mio Castello Wines”

The Regional Institute for Wines and Oils of Sicily and the Regional Department of Agricultural and Food Resources, within the Strategic Plan for the Internationalization of Sicilian Wines, wants to implement in collaboration with the company "Il Mio Castello Wines", publisher of the magazine Il Mio Vino (in its Italian, German and US editions) is a new initiative aimed at encouraging the internationalization of Italian wine, in particular towards the Chinese market.

 The promotional initiative is divided into the following points:

 A) opening of an operational unit in China (more precisely in Canton) to provide support to all the companies and organizations participating in the project, established as early as January 2012 by the company "Il Mio Castello Wines" with staff including native speakers English;

 B) organization of a show entirely dedicated to Italian wine, ITALIAN WINE EXPERIENCE, on the occasion of the FOOD HOSPITALY WORLD in Canton (29 November - 1 December 2012), an event aimed only at operators and specialized in Chinese and international "food & beverage". The ITALIAN WINE EXPERIENCE salon will take place according to new schemes which involve the creation of thematic islands within which events, tastings and workshops will continuously take place. The producers, protagonists of these events, will also be reserved a space where B2B meetings will take place, also organized by the Chinese unit of the publishing house, with Chinese operators and/or possible importers, including the care of the stand in case there is no representative of the company is present;

 C) launch of a Chinese edition of Il Mio Vino magazine. The magazine, created by the Italian editorial team in collaboration with Chinese staff, will be distributed starting from April to a group of Chinese operators interested in Italian wine. The magazine will aim to provide new Chinese customers with a more complete panorama of Italian viticulture, with particular attention to the valorisation of the territories and typical vines.

 The IRVOS costs the participating company approximately €2,000.
