Di Giacomo meets the unions

A meeting to remodel the organizational structure of the IRVO functions and at the same time ask for collaboration from the various trade unions. This is the theme of the meeting that the new extraordinary commissioner of the institution, Nino Di Giacomo, wanted to hold with the various trade unions last Monday 22 September.

Also present at the union meeting were the director Lucio Monte, Dr. Emilia Mulè as head of staff and the following union representatives: Fabio Guccione-Sadirs, Bernardo Scaturro-Cobas, Carmelo Ingrassia-Uil, Nino Drago-Cisl, Antonio Casano-Cgil, as well as a large internal representation group.

The intention of the extraordinary commissioner is to seek funds through the new calls for the 2014-2020 programming, simultaneously underlining the importance of the control and certification activities of wines and soon of oils, as well as research and the transfer of innovation . The unions have taken note of the program announced by Di Giacomo, "i.e. that of repaying - we read in the union note - a debt exposure of the current institution and at the same time the launch of a series of initiatives aimed at relaunching the Institute as research and certification body of the Sicilian Region in favor of the most important agricultural sectors in Sicily: Wine and Olive Oil".

Another meeting on FAMP and office reorganization has been scheduled for Monday 29 September.
