From Illinois to taste the wines of Sicily

The "tour" started with a visit to Palazzo d'Orleans: they were welcomed by the regional councilor for Agricultural and Food Resources Dario Cartabellotta together with the councilor for Cultural Heritage Mariarita Sgarlata, Lucia Borsellino, councilor for Health, Mariella Lo Bello of the Territory and the Environment and Linda Vancheri of Productive Activities. IRVOS was also present: a tasting was held, led by the oenologist Gianni Giardina, aimed at promoting Sicilian wines and its territories.
The delegation, made up of thirty-five members, including ladies and gentlemen and entrepreneurs, was enthusiastic about the welcome: a dialogue and discussion was certainly opened which leaves a window open to future collaborations. They proved to be particularly interested in the potential of the Sicilian territory and its products. One of them, an entrepreneur, has already mentioned his desire to undertake a commercial project.
The meeting ended with a tasting of wines and typical Sicilian products.
The delegation will be traveling around the island until Saturday.
