The regional institute of wine and oil at the G7 agriculture with conferences and tastings to promote Sicilian excellence

The Regional Institute of Wine and Oil (IRVO) bring the Sicilian excellences of wine and oil to the G7 dedicated to Agriculture of Syracuse. The appointments curated by IRVO at the G7 to present Sicilian wines and oils not only as high-quality products, but also as ambassadors of a rich culture and a unique territory.

All the events organized by IRVO will take place at the pavilion of the Department of Agriculture, present in Cathedral Square. The conference on September 26, organized by the Regional Department of Agriculture, will be at Palazzo Vermexio, Salone Borsellino.

Here is the complete agenda:

Monday 23 September at 11:30 conference  “Sparkling Wines of Sicily” led by the oenologist Gianni Giardina;
Tuesday 24th September at 11:30 conference “Dessert wines from Sicily and chocolate from Modica” curated by master chocolatier Giuseppe Rizza together with oenologist Gianni Giardina, while in the afternoon at 5pm, the conference will be held “Heroic Sicilian viticulture and its wines” always curated by the oenologist Giardina;
Wednesday 25th September at 11.30 you can participate in “Sicilian viticultural biodiversity” curated by Dr. Antonio Sparacio and the oenologist Salvatore Sparla; the conference will be held on Wednesday afternoon, at 5 pm “Tourism in the World of Agriculture: wine tourism, oil tourism and agritourism” and Prof. Vincenzo Russo, Dr. Francesca Salvia and Dr. Marco Mascellino will be present.
Thursday, September 26 at Palazzo Vermexio, in the Paolo Borsellino hall, IRVO will participate in the conference of the Regional Department of Agriculture entitled: “Agri-food production of excellence. Sicily, European region of gastronomy 2025”. 
Friday 27th September, instead, oil will be the protagonist of the conference at 5pm: “The importance of Sicilian PGI and monovarietal extra virgin olive oils”  will be held by Dr. Michele Riccobono and Leo Prinzivalli.

The last conference organized by IRVO will be held Saturday 28th September at 5pm and will deal with a strategic topic for the institute, that is, the participation in national and international fairs and will be addressed by Dr. Felice Capraro.

Public consultation on the IRVO 2026-2028 PTPCT update

Public consultation for the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2026/2028. In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2026/2028, all interested parties – particularly citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, and other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests – are invited to submit comments and/or proposals to the Head of Corruption Prevention and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated during the drafting of the document.
