Irvo tasting at Douja d'Or

On Saturday 19 September, during the days of the Palio d'Asti, a tasting entitled “Grillo & Nero d'Avola. The principles of Sicilian vines". Tasting which saw large and qualified public participation. “The wines of Sicily are intriguing more and more people. The different territorial expressions of Grillo and Nero d'Avola aroused great interest and participation. There is a positive perception of Sicilian wine production: this is a source of pride for our producers", comments the director of IRVO, Lucio Monte.
The tasting, which was led by the Institute's oenologist Gianni Giardina, aimed to present the production reality of the two of the most well-known and prestigious native vines on the island. A white and a red, namely Grillo and Nero d'Avola, which are among the most appreciated and well-known vines both in Italy and abroad and which have recently also recorded growing success among consumers. In fact, both vines constitute one of the main cornerstones of the very extensive Sicilian oenology. The wines were also paired with typical dishes of the island's food and wine.

Public consultation on the IRVO 2026-2028 PTPCT update
Public consultation for the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2026/2028. In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2026/2028, all interested parties – particularly citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, and other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests – are invited to submit comments and/or proposals to the Head of Corruption Prevention and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated during the drafting of the document.
