Marsala, Grillo project

The objective of the project is to evaluate the responses of the Grillo cultivar in three areas of the Iudeo-Bucari sub-basin in the province of Trapani. This area includes the vineyards of the UVAM winery which made them available. During this year of activity, the University of Palermo carried out the pedological surveys in the areas under investigation, while the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily carried out the microvinifications. Introducing the works were Salvatore Raimondi of the University of Palermo, Vincenzo Leonardo Lombardo president of the UVAM winery and the agronomist Antonio Sparacio of IRVOS. The technical reports were instead given by Dina Giglio, who explored the technical aspects and the results of the experimental microvinifications, while Barraco and Fabrizio Michele Interrante respectively the viticultural aspects and the sustainability of land use in the vineyards subject to the tests.
