Prevention of vine diseases, Elisa is born
“Elisa”, or Enzyme-linked immunoassay. It is the name of the IRVOS laboratory which was inaugurated a few days ago in Canicattì. “This is a very important reality – explains manager Gianni Giardina – as it represents an indispensable tool for virological analyzes on vines and soils”.
Curling, curling, infectious spotting are just some of the very widespread diseases in the Italian grape basin. The only way to avoid the death of entire plots of land is prevention, therefore controls. And from today all this is reality. “Prevention is one of the aspects – comments the general director Dario Cartabellotta, who spoke during the inauguration – that the institute is trying to strengthen to support producers and help them obtain a quality wine”. Biologist Enza Nucera will be in charge of the tests.
On the occasion of the inauguration, certificates were also given to the twenty-five participants, coming from Catania and Mazara del Vallo, in the "Wine and foreign markets: strategy and communication" course. A successful experience that is part of IRVOS's attention to the territory, aimed at training workers in the wine sector, which doubles. Public consultation on the IRVO 2026-2028 PTPCT update
Public consultation for the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2026/2028. In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2026/2028, all interested parties – particularly citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, and other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests – are invited to submit comments and/or proposals to the Head of Corruption Prevention and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated during the drafting of the document.
