Wine, oil and research. Conference in Marsala

Wine, oil and research. These will be the themes of the two days which will take place in Marsala on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd November. “Wine and oil: scientific research for the valorization of the territory” is the title of the conference organized by the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily, by the SASTAS Department of the University of Messina, by Co.Ri.Bi.A. (the Agricultural Biological Risk Research Consortium) and Thermo Fisher Scientific. The two meetings will be held in Marsala at the San Pietro Monumental Complex.

Among the speakers are the director of IRVOS Lucio Monte and the extraordinary commissioner Giorgio Calabrese, professor Giacomo Dugo of the University of Messina, doctor Nicola Cicero of Co.Ri.Bi.A. and Doctor Franco Abballe of Thermo Fisher Scientific. It will start on Thursday afternoon at 5.30 pm with a focus on extra virgin olive oil. The start is scheduled for Friday at 9am with an initial theme on red wines.
