Di Giacomo is the new commissioner of the institution

Nino_di_Giacomo_001Certification and research. These are the two aspects that the new extraordinary commissioner of IRVOS sets as objectives to implement.
He is Nino Di Giacomo, an official of the regional Department of Agriculture and therefore already accustomed to the dynamics of the sector. His role can therefore only be of valid help to the organisation.

An institution to which Di Giacomo recognizes all its importance and value, "for this reason - he states - we must not give up but push on what the Institute does best. That is, what concerns certification and research." In short, Di Giacomo is very positive despite the crisis and difficult situation that IRVOS has experienced in recent months. “I welcome this assignment with enthusiasm – he adds – and I am also very confident. I believe that the activity started in the former Asca laboratory and the certifications provided by IRVOS can constitute a driving force for recovery. As well as greater collaboration between the organization and the world of producers represented by Providi, Vitesi and Assovini".

In reality, Di Giacomo had already held the role of commissioner ad acta of the Sicilian Wines and Oils Institute since April. Now the task becomes more concrete, the decree appointing the President of the Region, Rosario Crocetta, will arrive within a few days.
