“NEW” CONTROL PLANS AND TARIFFS FOR THE 24 DOP AND 7 IGP SICILIAN WINES

We inform all Sicilian companies that the decree designating IRVO as the public control authority for all DOs and GIs of wines in the Sicilian Region has been issued.

Under Services - Controls and Certification you can view the Designation decree and the "new" Verification and Control Plans” and related price lists of all the DO and GI of Sicilian wines.

Companies are also advised that the communication of stocks of PGI wine as of 31/07/2012 does not only concern stocks of IGT "Sicilia" wine, but also any other stocks of other Sicilian IGTs already recognized and in production in past harvests ( Camarro, Fontanarossa di Cerda, Salemi, Salina, Valle Belice), as prescribed by art. 2 paragraph 2 of the aforementioned designation decree (see attached stock declaration form).
