On June 24, at the IRVO headquarters in Palermo, 14 Sicilian olive oil companies supported by Confimprese Sicilia at JOOP were awarded.
The international competition JOOP – Japan Olive Oil Prize 2025, which they had participated in 20 Sicilian companies and which ended on June 13th in Japan, reached its conclusion with the official award ceremony.
The ceremony, held at the headquarters of theIRVO in Palermo, represented a significant moment for Sicilian olive growing and was an excellent achievement both for the IRVO commissioner Giusi Mistretta, the director of the Institute, Vito Bentivegna, That John Happy, regional coordinator of Confimprese Sicilia. As also reported in the official press release, in fact, "out of 20 labels presented, 14 exceeded the 75% quality threshold".
An excellent result for the island.
Of the 14 companies, 9 achieved a score between85% and the 95%, gaining recognition GOLD:

The remaining ones 5 companies – Frantoio Berretta by Berretta Francesca, L'Ulivo by Sabrina De Toni, L'Oro del Lago, Oleificio Gabriele Alberto and Norfo Antonino – have instead obtained the level SILVER.
On June 30th in Japan it will be possible to taste the oils during the open day organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan – an incredible opportunity to promote the entire panorama of world oil production.

Public Consultation Update PTPCT IRVO 2025-2027
Public consultation for the purpose of updating the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2025/2027 In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2025/2027, all those who are interested are invited - in particular citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests - to send observations and/or proposals to the Person in Charge of the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated when drafting the document.
