May 2025 in the name of promoting Sicilian food and wine heritage: IRVO events
The Regional Institute of Wine and Oil (IRVO) continues its commitment to promoting the agri-food excellence of the Island in the spring season. In the month of May, the Institute will be the protagonist of three important events dedicated to the enhancement of the regional wine and oil sector.
Malvasia without borders – Panarea, 2-4 May 2025
The island of Panarea was the setting for the first edition of the wine competition “Malvasia senza confini”, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Messina. The event was divided into moments of study, masterclasses and tastings dedicated to Malvasia delle Lipari DOC, an emblematic grape variety of the Aeolian winemaking identity.
IRVO was represented by Commissioner Giusy Mistretta, confirming the institutional support for local productions.
Sicily en Primeur – Modica, 6-10 May 2025
Modica will host the 2025 edition of “Sicilia en Primeur”, an event promoted by Assovini Sicilia and aimed at specialized press and buyers. The event represents an important opportunity to present the new vintages of Sicilian wine and strengthen the positioning of the sector on the national and international market.
Sicilian PGI Oil Festival – Palermo, May 17, 2025
The first edition of the “Festa dell'Olio IGP Sicilia” will be held at the Molo Trapezoidale in Palermo, promoted by the Consortium for the Protection of Extra Virgin Olive Oil IGP Sicilia. IRVO will participate with an institutional delegation composed of the Director and other managers. The event includes informative activities, tastings and moments dedicated to the promotion of certified Sicilian extra virgin olive oil.

Public Consultation Update PTPCT IRVO 2025-2027
Public consultation for the purpose of updating the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (PTPCT) 2025/2027 In order to allow maximum involvement in the preparation of the update of the Three-Year Plan for the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil for the three-year period 2025/2027, all those who are interested are invited - in particular citizens, companies, consumer associations, representative trade unions, other entities operating in the territory representing particular interests - to send observations and/or proposals to the Person in Charge of the Prevention of Corruption and Transparency (RPCT), which will be evaluated when drafting the document.
