The event, organized by Slow Food, the Piedmont Region and the City of Turin, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, “is of significant importance in terms of promotion – comments the extraordinary commissioner of the Regional Wine Institute and dell'Olio, Nino Di Giacomo – Our intent is to aim for synergy with the Tourism Department. Work that has already been undertaken and thanks to which we are present in this great event today. We also thank the Tourism Department because by involving us it recognizes the value of the institution. Food and wine and tourism are the strong points of our land."
“We will bring to Turin – explains the general director of the institution, Lucio Monte – the products that best express the territories of the various areas of Sicily, making known in particular the wines and oils which, over the years, have managed to obtain prestigious awards for excellence and quality".
We will start in Sicily on Thursday 23rd at 11.30 am with a tasting of wines and oils, entitled "Itineraries of taste", from the Iblei area to Etna and followed by a lunch with traditional dishes from Syracuse, Ragusa and Catania. On Friday, however, always at the same time, it will be the turn of the Madonie area and the province of Trapani, while on Saturday it will be the turn of the areas of Caltanissetta, Enna and Agrigento. Penultimate stage, Sunday 26th, with the "flavors" coming from the Nebrodi and the islands and concluding on Monday with those coming from the province of Palermo.
