Downy mildew and powdery mildew
Downy mildew
The rains of recent days may have activated the development of the oospores; it is advisable, as a precaution, to start defense on vineyards that have leaves larger than 5 cm. in diameter. It is advisable to carry out a precautionary treatment, using cover products and in case of high risk, for example vineyard already attacked in the past season, use formulations that contain cytotropic active ingredients mixed with the cover products mentioned above.
Powdery mildew
In vineyards with symptoms on the wood, attacks from the past season and on sensitive varieties such as Chardonnay, Inzolia, Nero d'Avola, Frappato, it is necessary to intervene with products such as Meptildinocap, which have the advantage of having greater persistence (safety interval of 8 -10 days) and lower washability in case of rain, compared to sulphur.
