Prowein 2013, between promotion and tastings

Prowein 2013. One of the most prestigious wine fairs has just ended. It took place from 24 to 26 March in Düsseldorf. Twenty-eight Sicilian companies participated. The important trade fair, which attracts the best of the sector, this year saw three thousand seven hundred exhibitors from fifty countries.

The participation of the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily involved the setting up of a stand with an exhibition area of three hundred and thirty-five square metres. An “Open Space” designed by the PRC Re Pubbliche agency. The graphic project was characterized by photographic images of strong territorial impact provided by the Regional Center for the inventory, cataloging and documentation of the cultural heritage of the Sicilian Region.

The exhibition desks of the individual companies are newly designed, equipped with all the services necessary for carrying out negotiations and also characterized by graphics referring to the territory they belong to; and the area called "tasting area" dedicated to free tasting of the products of the companies present. The products presented have been divided by type and price range.

On March 25th, a specific moment was organized in favor of Sicilian wines with a meeting - tasting which was held at the "Lettinis-La Gusteria" bistro, in the center of the city. It was led by the well-known journalist Steffen Maus. 36 operators took part in the meeting, including buyers, wholesalers, importers and some journalists.
