With DDG4 n. 4926 of 07/28/2026, published on the website of the Regional Department of Agriculture, the following has been updated: the Regional List of Vineyard Mentions  for 2026.

3 new toponyms have been added for the DOC “Sicilia”: “Chief Grillo”, falling within the municipality of Lipari (ME), “Mount Altore" falling within the municipality of Vizzini (CT), "Mount Judeca” falling within the municipality of Butera (CL) and, always for the DOC “Sicilia”, there has been an expansion for the already existing traditional name “Gabri's Vineyard”, with the addition of new parcels falling within the municipalities of Contessa Entellina (PA), S. Margherita di Belice (AG) and Sambuca di Sicilia (AG).

Companies that produce wine from grapes from vineyards included in the land registry maps and parcels identified in the Regional List for each of the vineyard terms are reminded that, in order to use the aforementioned terms in the designation of wines, the relevant term must be claimed in the annual harvest declaration and the separate vinification of these grapes must be carried out (see art. 31, paragraph 10 of Law 238/2016).
