In every bottle of Gigliotto Tenute wine the magnificence of a territory rich in fruit and as old as man is expressed. Excellent red, white and rosé wines, produced using modern winemaking techniques while preserving the ancient traditions handed down to us by our ancestors. Like a prized vine, the Savoca family has its roots in tradition fueled by passion, perseverance and commitment handed down from generation to generation. The love for the land, its fruits and its flavors are the values that Elio Savoca wanted to transfer to the Gigliotto Tenute company, born as a further expression of entrepreneurial creativity.
The idea that pushed Elio Savoca to embark on a new adventure was to create a company that was able to produce fine wines, combining the values of tradition and family style with technological development, growing a brand that, although young, it boasts solid and deep roots in the local Sicilian reality.
Gigliotto is located in the heart of the Land of the Sun, rich in art and archeology in a central position ideal for excursions to Taormina (140 km), Agrigento (130 km), Syracuse (120 km), Noto and Ragusa Ibla, l The farmhouse boasts surrounding areas of great tourist attraction such as Piazza Armerina (9 km) with the Villa Imperiale del Casale, Caltagirone (16 km), beautiful for its historic center and famous for its majolica, Morgantina (20 km), an ancient Greek city with the agora and the splendid theatre. The farmhouse, an ancient monastery from the 1300s, develops around a Sicilian farmhouse overlooked by 26 comfortable rooms and a large dining room, a place of magical encounter of the aromas and flavors of the most typical island cuisine.
The farmhouse offers guests the services of a large swimming pool, a riding school with qualified equestrian instructors, a small museum of rural tradition, walks immersed in the silence of nature, greenery and serenity.
