The event opened with a tasting of Marsala wine, to seal the handover between Jerez, the European City of Wine 2104, and the ancient Lilybeum, hosted for the occasion in the Region&#039;s exhibition space.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Sicilian delegation is led by the director of the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily, Lucio Monte who, before the tasting, entrusted to the technician Gianni Giardina, brought the greetings of the Sicilian Region and the mayor Giulia Adamo. Together with Marsala, in the dry and sweet versions, the passito di Pantelleria was also presented to journalists and importers. Yesterday, at the opening of VINOBLE, there was a visit from the mayor of Jerez de la Frontera, Maria Jose&#039; Garcia-Pelayo, who was honored with wines and publications from Sicily.
