First experience but already very successful. In a well-known venue in Trieste, the city where the event dedicated to extra virgin olive oils has taken place for eight years now, a welcome drink took place with tastings of typical products of the island accompanied by Sicilian wines and oils.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p> \u201cWe are very satisfied \u2013 comments the general director of IRVOS, Lucio Monte \u2013 for both oil and wine we have started that virtuous path, confident that it will help Sicilian producers to make their reality known\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Buyers from countries such as Japan, Russia, Germany are already having the opportunity to get to know Sicilian oil. And these meetings will continue until Monday 10 March. During the Welcome drink, which was held at the Expo Mittelschool in Trieste, buyers and authorities, such as the president of the Trieste Chamber of Commerce Antonio Paoletti and the Japanese ambassador Si Masaharu Kuho, were able to taste the Sicilian oils together with the experimental wines of the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily. \u201cA Nero d&#039;Avola, a Grillo and a Passito\u201d, specifies the oenologist Gianni Giardina of IRVOS who accompanied the thirteen oil companies of the island to the event. Sicily \u201calso stood out \u2013 adds Giardina \u2013 for its teamwork solution\u201d.
