As long as there is a system: “Our projects – explains Michele Shah, consultant of the IRVOS internationalization program – must take into account this reference context and unite all forces, from companies to institutions, from employers' associations to professionals, to mark visibly the presence on that market of wines produced on the island. Selecting the wines by price range, making known their specific and distinctive organoleptic qualities, presenting the uniqueness of the production territories, constitute the cornerstones of an action that must overcome the limits of the episodic and become a fixed appointment for Sicilian wine in the city of São Paulo”.

It was the Melia Jardim Hotel in San Paolo that hosted the twenty-one Sicilian wineries participating in the mission and the numerous sector experts who attended. During the presentation seminar of the Wine Market in Brazil aimed at Sicilian producers, Christian Burgos of the Adega Group illustrated the trend and dynamics of this rapidly expanding market. Today Italian wine is a leading playmaker, with opportunities for growth and development for production, especially for those from Southern Italy. The main consumption concerns red wines, with a clear preference for structured and full-bodied but elegant and soft ones. Thus Nerello Mascalese Cappuccio dell'Etna, Frappato di Vittoria or Nero d'Avola from the south-western area of Sicily fully respond to this need for taste. Great attention was also paid to the two Masterclasses curated by Arthur Azevedo, President of the Brazilian Sommelier Association. The top wines of the participating Sicilian companies were the protagonists of the two events which recorded a strong turnout of specialized operators, buyers and journalists.

The most important sector operators in the South American market had the opportunity to taste Sicilian wine excellences during the Brazilian mission included in the internationalization program promoted by the Regional Institute of Wines and Oils of Sicily.

[303

post-11932","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-internazionalizzazione
["GET
