\u201cLa Foresteria\u201d Planeta-estate is PLANETA's place dedicated to hospitality, cuisine, wine and the territory. The Foresteria appears like a typical village of rural houses located on the hill and is surrounded by productive vineyards and olive groves that extend up to the beach of Porto Palo on the crystalline sea of Menfi in the province of Agrigento, a few kilometers from the Planeta wineries and the center of an area rich in archaeological sites and nature reserves. The Foresteria is the ideal place for a "gourmande" holiday in the heart of ancient and sunny Sicily, where you can savor Mediterranean rhythms, tastes, traditions and scents in complete relaxation.

The fourteen large rooms with private terrace have ever-changing colors and furnishings, as in the country manor houses, which favor the pastel shades of the walls, the reds and ochers of the carpets and the yellows and blues of the Burgio and Caltagirone ceramics. The flowerbeds of thousands of different aromatic plants decorate the rooms from which they take their name.

VISITS TO THE CELLAR AND OLIVE MILL
A short distance from La Foresteria you can visit the Planeta Family estates Ulmo, Dispensa and Capparrina dedicated to the production of wines and oil. The services offered are visits to the vineyards and olive groves, the cellars and the oil mill with tastings and lunches in the cellar. During the grape or olive harvest period, guests of the Foresteria can actively participate, upon request.
The 16th century Ulmo baglio in Sambuca di Sicilia on the shores of Lake Arancio is immersed in an extraordinary landscape and is the main place dedicated to welcoming our guests<\/p>\n

WINE & FOOD
At the guesthouse we offer surprise thematic wine tasting tours, tailored exclusively for customers, which accompany the 4-course menu. Through a dynamic approach, territories and varieties are explored. The extensive wine list offers all Planeta wines and its best vintages, a selection chosen by Planeta of wines from Sicily and the rest of the world, and a special list with 50 wines among the most precious and rare labels from the Caveau of Family<\/p>\n

The cooking lessons are held in the authentic beating heart of "La Foresteria" by Planeta, the large tiled kitchen overlooking the dining room and the terrace, the convivial space par excellence within the structure. A member of the Planeta team is always present at the lessons who introduces and tells one of the ancient family recipes with fun historical and gastronomic anecdotes linked to the territory.
The lessons are themed. The common thread is usually linked to the period in which the course takes place or to the seasonal products of the area.<\/p>\n
